Hyundai Motor Company, the world’s fastest-growing automotive company by brand, is continuing to bring new thinking and new possibilities to the Australian market, announcing the company’s exciting new product plans for 2011.
Under the company’s new global brand line ‘New Thinking. New Possibilities.’, which encapsulates Hyundai’s concept of ‘Modern Premium’. Hyundai Motor Company Australia has confirmed it will launch four all-new vehicles which encapsulate the spirit of premium quality design, features and value – all in the second half of 2011.
Codenamed MD, the all-new Elantra is a compact sedan which completes the company’s line-up in the small segment. Following the ix35 compact SUV and i45 mid-sized sedan, Elantra is a further example of Hyundai’s signature ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design and showcases Hyundai’s capabilities, including modern design, advanced safety technologies and outstanding quality. The new Elantra is planned to go on sale in Australia in the third quarter of 2011.
The exciting all-new Hyundai Accent is a four-door sedan which will complement the company’s successful i20 hatch in the Light car segment. The Accent combines sleek good looks, advanced technology and leading safety attributes, and tops it all off with a robust, sporting character. The new Accent is planned for local introduction before the end of the third quarter of 2011.
Launched at the Geneva motor show this month, the stylish new i40 wagon was designed and engineered in Rüsselsheim, Germany to meet with European tastes. i40’s exterior stands out for its seamless form and distinctive graphic elements, while the interior design focuses on the sculptural and ergonomically optimised integration of its functions. The new i40 wagon has now been confirmed for the Australian market and will go on sale in late 2011.
Finally, the stunning and daring Veloster. Unveiled this week in Australia and challenging conventional coupe design, Veloster brings a new design perspective, combining agility, convenience and aesthetics. Veloster delivers innovation with a unique third door for easy rear-seat access, a new 1.6-litre direct-injected four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new Veloster is expected to land in Australia before the end of 2011.
Pricing and specifications for the all-new Elantra, Accent, i40 and Veloster models will be available at the time of their respective launches.
